Rental Cabinas and Residential Owner's Home Walk to the Beach Location in Uvita
Ever dreamed of having your own B&B or boutique cabina business while living onsite by the beach in Costa Rica? This could be the opportunity you have been looking for!
These intimate and tropical cabinas are located in Bahia Ballena a 5-minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica (Playa Chaman) and the Marino Ballena National Park with the famous Whale’s Tail formation. Also walking distance for guests to restaurants and the Wednesday farmer’s market “El Mercado”. Plus a short few minute drive to all the amenities of Uvita.
As you enter the electric bamboo gate to the property beyond the parking area there are 3 colorful rental units in a line to the left of the outdoor kitchen/rancho area and inviting pool. Each room is air-conditioned with its own on-suite full bathroom and mini coffee bar kitchenette. The rooms are stylishly decorated with bright artwork and comfortable beds and linens. The vibrant bathrooms have really cool tiles and showers. Each unit has its own private porch with a couple of chairs and ceiling fans.
The pool is perfect for guests to cool off after a day at the beach or out on adventure tours. There is a covered rancho next to the pool with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area for guests to enjoy. Could also turn this into the dining pavilion if you decided to offer breakfast as a B&B. Mature lipstick palms and lush flowering landscaping create a private setting, yet is close to everything.
Move-In-Ready Owner's Home to Operate the Business From
In the rear of the property is the owner’s home; which is split into two sides connected by a breezeway with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms (1 is used as an office with A/C) and 1 full bathroom on one side of the home. The other side consists of an air-conditioned living room and master bedroom with a bathroom. One side of the home could be converted into a 5th rental cabina if you desired to increase the revenue. Or rent the home on Airbnb if you lived off-site or do not plan on moving here full time. You could also rent the entire property to yoga retreats or other tourism groups looking for plenty of space.
Behind the owner’s home is the 4th cabina which is a studio bedroom with A/C and its own on-suite bathroom. This is a handicap accessible unit which is required by Costa Rica law for an operational hotel business. The current owners rent this room occasionally and primarily have used it as a private guest room when friends visit.
Solar panels on the main 3 cabinas structure by the pool and two solar hot water heaters help lower the monthly cost of electricity considerably; thus increasing profits!

“This place really hit the spot. First, location: In the thick of the Bahia section of Uvita, minutes walking from the stunning national park and Whale Tail. And convenient by car to every awesome thing in the area. Second, amenity: great bed, great shower, great AC, cooking facilities that are well stocked and supported, even floating drink holders. Third hospitality. The host was first-rate with great local tips…. Do your vacation a favor and book here!”

“We loved our stay!! The hosts are so nice and know lots about the area. The property is beautiful and includes a pool and really cool area outside for communal cooking so that you can hang out in comfy chairs in the shade while eating, or sit by the pool. The rooms are clean and well stocked with cutlery, plates, glasses, etc, and have a mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, and a chorreador. The nearby beach Playa Uvita isn't crowded at all and stretches on for miles. You can walk all the way down to the whale tail if you want. While we stayed at Cabinas D'Val, we went on a great snorkeling trip to Cano Island (through Bahia Adventures). Definitely, a great place to stay if you want proximity to this tour, or are interested in a few relaxing beach days. Thanks:)”

“Feeling of intimacy, only a few cabinas in a nice garden where you can observe birds and iguanas in the surrounding trees. Good size pool, air-conditioned rooms, plenty of filtered water available. On the patio you can cook, have a few drinks, read, listen to some music… there is also documentation about the regions and animals/plants. We could walk to the beach (sunsets!!) and to a few good restaurants. We really enjoyed spending a week there. Hosts are super nice and helpful.”
