The property is on 1.72 acres, located in Uvita. It has 2 bungalows and another plantel ready for building. The area between the bungalows would be perfect for a pool and an outdoor sitting area. The property is currently the last home on the Bejuco Road which leads to a dead end. The community is very close-knit and constantly works together to maintain the road and water which both have active associations and yearly meetings and elections. The water comes from Springs in Aquas Buenas and is part of the La Guagara water association. The road also shares a guard shack with the Rancho Pacifico and Oxygen Road.

The main bungalow was built in 2008 and is approximately 900 square feet. It has one bedroom, one bath, and an open kitchen with full deck area. Both the bedroom and living room have access to the deck through french doors. This cabin also has a lockdown room which can be used as a dry room, as well as a walk-in closet and two outside accessed storage bodegas. One bodega houses a washer and could be set up with a stackable washer and dryer. The main cabin also has a double carport attached to the house and is large enough for two cars.

The smaller Bungalow was built in 2013 and is approximately 500 square feet. It has a magnificent view of the Whales Tail and the town of Uvita. This one-room studio has plenty of storage with two closets and multiple drawer spaces. In addition, it has an elegant bathroom which features a glass shower and raised glass sink. The kitchen has a gas burner cooktop, a full sized refrigerator, and a bar area to eat at with the option to open the screen to better view Ballena Rock and the Whales Tail. This smaller bungalow also has an outside accessible bodega.

The entire property is surrounded by jungle and has a million-dollar white water view. You can hear the waves breaking and see the sunset over the Pacific during the high season months. Both bungalows have their own private access and driveways. The cabins are open and airy with screened windows and fans in every room. The main bungalow is plumbed for air conditioning if someone wanted to install it, although it isn’t necessary at this elevation. Both Cabins are very low maintenance and both have wooden shutters that can be attached to all of the windows and doors so that the property can be completely locked for lengthy departures.

The property is lush with natural landscaping to attract wildlife and survive the dry season. An abundance of fruit trees provides delicious treats throughout the year including bananas, plantains, pineapples, coconuts, avocados, mangos, guavas, gyabas, cashews, and even a coffee tree!

Situated at 1200 feet, the vista overlooking Cano Island and the valley of Uvita are breathtaking both day and night during any season. The white water views and opportunity to spy migrating whales while watching the tide play hide and seek with the magnificent “whales tail” never fails to astonish no matter how many times you observe this amazing enigma. The exquisite orchestra of exotic birds and howler monkeys which greets you every morning will satiate your soul with peace and harmony and is often accompanied by the distant sound of the crashing waves. You are also guaranteed to share your day with many of the other local residents including hummingbirds, white-faced capuchin, geckos, parrots, and various frogs and numerous other amazing creatures; the bungalow is situated in the sparsely populated Jungle area of Bejuco and surrounded by protected parkland making our mountain a haven for all sorts of wildlife!

Even though you may not want to leave this tranquil paradise, a short fifteen minute trip to the bottom of the mountain road will bring you directly into the center of the town of Uvita, where you can stock up on groceries, do some banking, sign up for tours and visit local boutiques. Just a short 5-minute drive from the center of town you can enjoy the serene and isolated beaches of Ballena and Hermosa. Or, drive 15 minutes farther and enjoy the surfing paradise of Dominical which is packed with beachside restaurants, tour agencies, and gift shops! Or enjoy a quiet day of snorkeling on your own at any of the nearby beaches.
