This Spanish style home is perched high on the mountains where it receives both sunlight and the natural cooling from the forest mist. The property is privately located in the small town of San Salvador, neighboring the community of Tinamastes. The home is tastefully designed and built with unique touches such as terracotta roofing, Spanish tiles, Italian tiled floors, vaulted ceilings, and custom woodwork. The majestic Diamante Waterfall is seen from inside and outside the home. Towering at over 600', the Diamante Waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in all of Costa Rica. After a healthy rain, the sound of the falls carries across the valley towards the home. You will be able to view the Diamante from the gardens, the covered patio, the guest bedroom, and throughout the living room. But this property offers much more than that.

The guest room features a beautiful view looking straight out onto the Diamante Waterfall and it also has a private sliding glass door leading to a covered outdoor seating area. The bedrooms are located on either side of the house are separated by the living and dining room areas. A full kitchen located just off of the dining room includes top and bottom wooden cabinets, solid granite countertops, and a laundry room with a pantry.

Living in Costa Rica, you will spend an equal amount of time, if not more, enjoying the outdoor spaces. A large covered patio wraps around the living spaces and it is the perfect place to enjoy the perfect climate, the wildlife, and the beautiful mountain setting. During the end of our visit, we witnessed an anteater lazily wander across the lawn in front of us. According to the owners, other common wildlife sightings include deer, sloths, monkeys on occasion, and a wide array of colorful birds.

The grounds on the property feel like you are taking a tour of the Garden of Eden. Rolling green lawns, towering trees, vibrantly colored plants, gorgeous views out to the Pacific, lush rainforest areas bordering a river, and the land is rich with fruit trees. Planted throughout the 1.83-acre (7,407.02 m2) property are mamon chinos, oranges, grapefruit, bananas, mangos, mangosteen and so much more. Located on the edge of the property is a greenhouse for growing herbs and vegetables. For those with a green thumb, or are into living a healthy lifestyle, it does not get much better than this.

The property also includes three additional building sites. If you wanted to build another home for guests or to produce an additional income from rentals, you could easily do so with these home sites. Private Neighborhood close to Tinamastes

This private neighboorhood is located approximately 15-20 minutes from the main highway. The town of Tinamastes, has a growing community of expats and an all organic farmers market on Tuesdays. This is the defacto place for locals to purchase the cleanest and freshest produce in the area.

At the highway, you can travel 25 minutes to the city of San Isidro, where you can find all major banking, grocery stores, affordable shopping, a movie theater and a larger farmers market on Thursdays. In the other direction, 15 minutes down the road, you arrive at the beach town of Dominical. There you can enjoy world class surfing, a variety of restaurants, a local brewery, an organic grocery store, and a vibrant nightlife.
